FISH & CHIPS to you

Based in the beautiful north east of England, we're a street food business with a simple mission: to serve up the best fish and chips using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, with no skimping on quality.


Our story

The Little Fishy was founded by me (Michael) and my wife Jo.

After having fish and chips at our wedding, we thought why not replicate that restaurant quality in a street food product.

We launched in 2015 as a street food trader at Tynemouth Market, where we quickly established a name for ourselves on the north east street food scene.


Since then, we’ve catered for lots of events, from from the MTV Awards After Party, to weddings and birthday parties. We also do lots of street food markets including Newcastle Quayside market.

We really care about quality

We've done lots of research to get the product right, from finding the best potato suppliers to sourcing sustainable packaging (which certainly wasn’t the norm in the fish and chip industry when we started out!)

It's important to us that the whole product is as as good as the food, so we enlisted the help of talented local designer Ashley Willerton to create the look for our brand, which is linked to the local fishing heritage. 

We genuinely love what we do, and we’re proud to bring some of the best fish and chips in the region to you.
